WHAT?

We are Nomadic Voices

Nomadic Voices is a showcase for creative arts of all kinds. We gather in parks and public spaces and host open mic nights that are powerful. Building connection and community through personal and cultural expression, we host events where everyone’s voice matters. We are artists and activists. We sing, dance, play music, tell stories, recite slam poetry, perform comedy, and more!

Anyone and Everyone can be a part of the Movement!

The Birth of Nomadic Voices

Share Your Story

The Nomadic Voices Our journey began in the summer of 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic, initiated by Tabo Bo. Some of our community members in Utica, New York were feeling isolated and lonely. At the same time, we as a society were mourning and wishing we could make a difference in terms of ,street violence, racism, and other issues occurring all over the world. We started gathering together in parks and hosted open mic nights throughout our city. It took several months but soon, more and more people joined us at our events and watched our live streams from home. We continue to educate ourselves about the world around us and how we can affect meaningful and lasting change.

These days, we host events and join with other organizations. There is no stopping us now!

The Vision

Make it Loud

EVERYONE has a voice that deserves to be heard.

We are all better when we have a chance to listen to another person’s story. With expression and understanding, we believe that is the first step to making the world a better place than ‘yesterday’. Come to our events, tell your story. We encourage you to be yourself and be brave enough to share what’s on your mind and in your heart.

We expect that Nomadic Voices will continue to grow so that people can be connected and share their artistic talents from every state in the nation to every corner of the world.
